Dr. Shahram Moradi

POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOW

Dr. Shahram Moradi is a researcher in the fields of photonics and semiconductor devices, known for his expertise in microfabrication, characterization, programming, and simulation. His contributions span various research endeavors, reflecting his comprehensive skill set and commitment to advancing these fields.

  • During his Ph.D. at the University of Victoria, Dr. Moradi focused on material discovery and high-throughput experimentation. He utilized his skills in microfabrication, programming, and simulation to fabricate and optimize novel materials, particularly in the realm of perovskite solar cells. His work included the development of a robotic spectrometer setup, streamlining the measurement process for high-throughput material screening.

  • In his Master's degree at the Middle East Technical University (METU), Dr. Moradi concentrated on dispersion engineering for Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs). Utilizing programming and simulation tools, he made significant advancements in photonic crystal design, contributing to the field's progress.

  • Apart from his research endeavors, Dr. Moradi also imparts his knowledge as a part-time professor teaching CSI2372 (Advanced Programming Concepts with C++). His multifaceted skill set and dedication to both research and education position him as a valuable asset in the world of photonics and optoelectronics.
