Dr. Gabriel Flizikowski

POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOW

Dr. Gabriel Flizikowski has experience in optical and spectroscopic characterization. During his master’s degree at the State University of Maringá, Brazil, he worked on applied physics, studying thermo-optical and mechanical properties of optical glasses doped with rare-earth elements for use in industry. Later in his Ph.D. at the same institution, he worked on the interaction of light with matter at a more fundamental level. More precisely, investigating the interplay of optical and acoustic phenomena in liquids and studying the linear momentum of light inside dielectric media. Thus, his prior experience in optical detection and manipulation techniques will be directly applied to nonlinear THz photonics and the characterization of integrated photonic devices based on III-V semiconductors.
