M. Amin Hemmatian
PHD STUDENT
Amin graduated from Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran, Iran, with a bachelor's degree in physics. Later, he pursued a master's degree in photonics at the Laser and Plasma Research Institute in Tehran, Iran. There, he studied theoretical and experimental aspects of photonics, including calculating and measuring the nonlinear characteristics of various materials at optical and THz frequencies. In the fall of 2023, he started his doctoral studies at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Physics, supervised by Professor Ksenia Dolgaleva. His main research focuses on terahertz science and technology, nonlinear optics, and ultrashort laser pulses.
